Zamel is an electrical engineering company and a renowned manufacturer of smart home management systems. It has an extensive IT infrastructure, including applications critical to their business, which run on VPS servers in OVHcloud and Microsoft Azure cloud. A major challenge is to ensure business continuity and high availability (HA) of these applications, which we - Hostersi - have helped with as part of our administrative care.

 

Challenge

Zamel was looking for specialists to complement their IT team's expertise in managing and monitoring IT environments on an ongoing basis to ensure the proper performance of their environment and minimize the risk of potential failures. Our client's team realized that to be sure of stable infrastructure performance, 8-hour monitoring during standard business hours was not enough. An additional difficulty was the use of two different providers: OVHcloud and Microsoft Azure. Zamel, looking for an experienced partner, specialized in managing different environments from different providers, who would provide 24/7 administrative care support, came to Hosters and has stayed with us for a long time.

Solution

We proposed a comprehensive solution to increase systems availability, improve SLA and streamline infrastructure management. Hostersi assumed responsibility for administrative care of OVHcloud's VPS servers, which were a key part of Zamel's infrastructure. This support included managing the servers, installing updates and patches, monitoring performance, and responding to potential problems and failures. We augmented the existing monitoring system in Azure with our own tools, which enabled continuous tracking of parameters critical to the client's infrastructure. This enabled us to quickly detect potential threats and respond to them before they negatively impacted application performance.

The client, Zamel, receives regular reports on any actions taken in managing the environment. Data analysis allowed us to identify potential areas for optimization and improvement.
